Effective [Effective date] · Last updated October 9, 2026

This policy explains what information Converge collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. In short: we use your information to run the service for your organization. We don't sell it, and we don't use it for advertising.

Draft for legal review. Highlighted placeholders need a decision from Food Printing Technologies. Have counsel review this text before publishing.

Who we are

Converge by Food Printing Tech ("Converge", "we", "us") is operated by Food Printing Technologies [LLC / Inc.], [address]. This policy covers the website at converge.ink, the Converge portal at portal.converge.ink, and the service that connects your printers to Converge (together, the "Service").

Information we collect

Account information

When your organization invites you, we receive your name, email address, the organization you belong to, and your role in it. Sign-in is handled by our identity provider, which also stores your login credentials. We never see your password.

Content you add

Artwork you upload for jobs, substrate details and reference images, organization logos, job names, quantities, and any notes you attach.

Printer and job data

For printers connected to your account: printer identifiers, connection status, ink levels, configuration, job progress and outcomes, and the network address the printer connects from.

Technical and usage data

When you use the website or portal, our servers record standard log data such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps, and error diagnostics. We use this to keep the Service reliable and secure.

Communications

Messages you send to us, such as support questions and demo requests, and records of the service emails we send you, such as invitations.

How we use it

  • To provide the Service: authenticating you, queuing jobs, sending them to your printers, and showing printer status.
  • To send service emails, such as invitations, security notices, and important changes.
  • To keep the Service secure: detecting abuse, preventing unauthorized access, and investigating incidents.
  • To diagnose problems and improve reliability and performance.
  • To respond to support requests.
  • To meet legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use your artwork to train machine-learning models.

How we share it

Within your organization. People in your organization can see jobs, printers, and member names and emails, depending on their role.

Service providers. We use a small set of providers to run the Service. They may process data only on our instructions:

ProviderWhat they do for us
Microsoft AzureHosting, databases, file storage, content delivery, service email, and application monitoring
Okta (Auth0)Sign-in, organization membership, and invitations

Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users, the public, or Food Printing Technologies.

Business transfers. If Food Printing Technologies is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that deal. This policy will continue to apply to it.

Customer data and our role

Your organization controls the content and job data it puts into Converge. For that data we act as a service provider (or "processor") on your organization's behalf, under our agreement with them. If you have questions about how your organization uses Converge, contact your organization's administrator first.

Cookies and sign-in

The converge.ink website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. When you sign in, our identity provider sets cookies on its own domain that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in and protect your account. The portal holds your sign-in tokens in memory and does not store them in your browser's storage.

How long we keep it

We keep account and content data for as long as your organization's account is active. After an account closes, we delete or anonymize customer data within [N] days, except where we must keep it for legal, security, or backup reasons. Server logs are kept for up to [N] days. Database backups roll off on a fixed schedule.

Security

We encrypt data in transit, keep each organization's data separate, restrict internal access to people who need it, and monitor the Service for misuse. No system is perfectly secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us right away.

Your choices and rights

You can view and update your name and email in the portal under Settings. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object to or restrict how we use it.

Because your organization manages your account, we may forward your request to its administrator. We won't treat you differently for exercising your rights. To make a request, email privacy@converge.ink.

International transfers

Converge is hosted in [Azure region, e.g. the United States]. If you use it from another country, your information will be processed there. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

Children

Converge is a business service and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes to this policy

We'll post any changes on this page and update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll notify organization administrators by email before it takes effect.
